“We discussed routes and jurisdictional issues if things happen on a bus,” Clayton Capt. Angelo Daniel said of Tuesday’s session which also served as a “getting to know each other” meeting.
MARTA also is in the process of looking for a site to open a precinct in Clayton. Daniel said Clayton police would meet with residents who are concerned about the transit agency’s startup leading to more crime in the area. But he noted that Clayton voters overwhelmingly voted to bring MARTA into the county. To date, Daniel said, there’s been no noticeable concerns over crime of which he is aware.
