Winter storm: Help for Cherokee County residents with health conditions

Have a health condition that requires electricity?

The Cherokee Emergency Operations Center has created a special phone line for county residents without power who need assistance from public safety officials, sheriff’s Lt. Jay Baker said in an emailed statement. The number is 678-493-4268.

People who cannot heat their homes are urged to call the number, too.
