Clayton County emergency management officials are hunkered down in the Emergency Operations Center monitoring the weather. The command center has been opened since 6 a.m.
“Right now what we’re looking at is a lot of rain (but) this forecast could go either way,” said Jacque Feilke, deputy chief of Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services.
Emergency management officials huddled with Chairman Jeff Turner last night to discuss the best strategy for what appears to be an uncertain set of conditions on the southside.
Clayton schools are closed.
