The 11 convicted defendants in the Atlanta Public Schools test cheating trial were transported in a black Fulton County Sheriff’s Office to the county jail Wednesday afternoon.
The former educators will be fingerprinted, have their photos taken and get a medical check up, Channel 2 Action News reported. The process will take about two to three hours.
From there, the women defendants will be transferred to the South Fulton County Annex in Union City. There are no sleeping accommodations for the women at the main Fulton County Jail, the station reported.
The educator’s attorneys can visit them at any time of day. Their families cannot visit them. Fulton County inmates aren’t allowed visits until they’ve spent at least two weeks in jail, the station reported.
