The case against her: A witness testified on three occasions she saw Copeland with tests that should have been locked away.
Her defense: Her attorney unsuccessfully asked for a mistrial because defense attorneys were included in conversations about a prosecution witness who received a threat after testifying at the trial.
Her sentence: serve one year in prison, pay a $1,000 fine and do 1,000 hours of community service.
