APS defendants in court for resentencing

The three former Atlanta Public Schools educators convicted to seven year prison sentences for their roles in the test-cheating scandal are in court for today’s resentencing.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Jerry Baxter ordered today’s hearing amid some complaints that the sentences were too harsh.

The former educators, Tamara Cotman, Michael Pitts and Sharon Davis-Williams were accused of helping change student answers on state standardized tests.
