Rain, a Rolling Stones concert and a Braves game are making for a messy ride during Tuesday afternoon’s rush hour.

“It just makes for a perfect mix of tie-ups and jams all evening long,” Steve Winslow of the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center said shortly after 5:30 p.m. “… Every major road is seeing heavier than normal volume, especially on the Downtown Connector.”

Winslow said no major incidents had been reported but drivers were already experiencing increased volume of up to 50 percent. He especially urged drivers going to the Rolling Stones concert (which begins at 8 p.m. at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium) to take MARTA and get off at the North Avenue station.
